History

The Mountain Clans were formed when a Warrior from the Distant Clans traveled here and guided a gang of struggling rouges on how to live by the Warrior code. According to the tale passed on from many generations of elders, her dark pelt glew like stars. They rejected her at first, off-put by her strictness, but soon learned how much following a code could unify them. When she finished teaching them the way they should go, legend says she disappeared into the night sky towards the Distant Clans. The first Clan, LeafClan, was named after her, though the full name of this starry Warrior has been lost overtime.

The other three clans eventually formed as LeafClan grew, and the need for new camps became a prevelent issue. Cats would argue over where to live, hunt, and what areas of territory to prioritize, and overtime this arguing turned into division. LakeClan, RockClan, and FlameClan would form out of the split camps as a result.

When a cat dies, their spirit would remain inpercivable amongst the living. These spirits wanted a place to live, so they took inhabitance in the "Embracing Stars". This is a place where honorable Warriors will find endless hunting, eternal youth, and unified Clan. These Warriors become known as the Sun Warriors. However, more nefarious cats will go to live in the "Swallowing Moon", where they become the Moon Warriors, and also find endless hunting, eternal youth, and a unified Clan. Moon Warriors and Sun Warriors are in a constant battle over the sky, and control over the land of the living. Typically, the Sun Warriors are more powerful, and protect the living cats from the evil schemes of the Swallowing Moon... typically.

Map

The Mountain territory is very diverse in its enviroment. Forests, rocklands, and barren lands can all be found here.

Crater

When it comes time for a Clan gathering, they all meet in The Crater. First, apprentinces surround the outer ring, then warriors, then medicine cats, and deputies sit on the inner layer around the rock. Leaders perch ontop the rock and address all cats with Clan news. Fighting is not to occur during a gathering, or the Sun Warriors will be weakened, leaving the Clans vunerable.
